ABOUT ME

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Vania, I am Italian, a part of my family is French and I live in London.

I am a QTS qualified secondary school teacher with more than 20 years of experience in teaching Modern Languages (Italian-French-English), both privately and for schools, online and face to face.

I have a Degree in French and English Language and Literature (Bologna University), two Masters in teaching French and English, a Specialisation in Special Needs Education (SEN), the CELTA Certificate and the CILS examiner certificate.

In Italy, I worked in secondary schools for 17 years, as an English and French Language and Literature teacher, as a Special Needs (SEN) teacher and an extra-curricular Drama teacher.

Since my arrival in London, a few years ago, I have been working both online and face to face as an Italian, French and English teacher for adults and as a tutor for young learners and teenagers both privately and for schools.

With the forced changes in the learning process due to the pandemic, I have developed an online teaching style which is immersive and interactive in order to keep my students involved and engaged.

My teaching style has always been influenced by my creativity and my passions for acting, music and travel. They help me to make the lessons more interesting and fun because I think that fun is an essential part of the teaching and learning process.

I enjoy enriching my teaching skills and I regularly attend courses and workshops to improve on both a personal and a professional level. I love working with students of all ages to support their education and personal development and I always vary activities and use my creativity to tailor the lessons around my students’ specific needs and requirements.
